FreeStyle Libre 3 Sensor

The FreeStyle Libre 3 sensor is extremely small, and discreet, in addition to being water resistant. The continuous glucose monitoring sensor is placed on the back of the upper arm for the best results. The thin sleek design of the Libre 3 sensor is so narrow that it is thinner than two stacked pennies. It can easily be scanned underneath clothing. After the 1 hour start-up period, you can wear the sensor for 14 days. Abbott's Libre 3 sensor measures glucose every minute automatically and the most favored feature is that it doesn't require any finger stick calibration

FreeStyle Libre 3 Sensors Features:

  • Accurate - The most accurate 14-day Continuous Glucose Monitoring system to help reduce time spent in hypoglycemia and improve overall glucose control.
  • Discreet - The world’s smallest, slimmest, thinnest, and most discreet CGM sensor EVER - smaller than two stacked pennies.
  • Simplicity - Painless to apply and wear with a easy 1-piece applicator.
  • Reliability - Optional, real-time glucose alarms alert you when your glucose is either too high or too low.

I recently bought six of these products, and I have to say that I'm really impressed with how well they work. I was excited to test it out as soon as I received my purchase, but on the first unit I used, I ran into a small problem with the adhesive of the sensor snagging on the inside edge of the applicator. But when I contacted the customer support department, they were really quick to respond and very helpful in giving me advice on how to fix the problem.

They advised me to follow their lead, and I discovered that the thing operated perfectly. I was pleasantly surprised by the sensor's accuracy and dependability, and I haven't had any more problems with it coming loose from the applicator's edge. Actually, it has been

It's painless and it stays on for the entire 14days. It's waterproof, sweatproof as it's adhesive is amazing. Qood quality and accuracy in measurement. Very small and easy to apply.

    Freestyle Libre3 My Experience

Posted by Larry on 24th Aug 2023

Solid product--but there is a learning curve, like 1 to 2 sensors. It's amazing to watch how different foods impact your body. I was able to dial in my recipes to minimze excessive and long glucose decay cycels using the CGM. Also learned my body's hunger signals using the CGM. I never would have found mine without the CGM as mine don't match any of the ones I've read about! It's easy to do--moniotr your body, if you think you need to eat check the CGM. If glucose is >100, it ain;t a true hunger signal

Read Marty Kendall's and Tro Kalajian's CGM articles/you tube posts. Should be required reading before you start using a CGM.

    Watch out fors:
Vitamin C: even the smallest amounts of a Vit C supplement caused my sensor to be off by 10 to 40 points when compared to a blood glucose finger stick. Soon as I stopped Vit C, readings matched finger stick within 2 days.

Sweat: If you are working out or just plain working manual labor and you sweat a normal amount--good chance the sensor is going to come off. Once it is off--it's done. It will not reset no matter how many days you had left on the sensor--it's done. I now use Skin Tac as part of my preps before placing the sensor and, once placed, I cover it with a SIMPATCH. I easily get 10 days no matter how much I sweat. (Both products on Amazon).
